Planned Preventative Maintenance

The Refrigeration systems in your coldroom comprise of many parts and like all equipment that is in operation continuously, general wear and tear is to be expected. If one part fails, it can have a knock-on effect to the rest of the system.
This downtime to your unit can become very costly, and the quality of the items stored diminishes with raising temperatures.
As the recovery costs can be extremely high, PPM is exactly that – Preventative Maintenance keeping, your system in top shape. Failing to maintain the system could end in disaster – and consequently, the huge cost to put it right again. This is why Planned Preventative Maintenance is so important. Any of the system parts which are on their way to failing are likely to be detected, then parts can be ordered and replaced. By maintaining the system and being on top of likely problems you will avoid downtime and further damage to the system and enable the system to continue working optimally.

We always recommend two services per year – Spring and Early Winter. Spring Services ensure your systems are running efficiently in preparation of the hot summer months when the Refrigeration system will be working harder than ever to compensate for the higher ambient temperatures outside.
Winter Services enable us to check your system over after the hot summer months, it also ensures everything is running smoothly ready for the next busiest time of year – Christmas and New Year! Bars, Restaurants, Cafes, and other food establishments will see a higher than usual demand due to the party season toward the end of the year, where there will be a higher volume of products being stored within the coldroom, which in turn puts a lot of pressure on the kitchen equipment to keep up with demand.
